There are several ways to separate paper and plastic products.
1. Thermal separation: a method of separating paper from plastic by changing plasticity after heating
(1) Hot-drum method: The separating device consists of an electro-heated chromium plating barrel and an inner hollow barrel (drum) with a scraper. The scraper and the wall of the heating barrel are connected with each other in reverse rotation. The bottom of the barrel is connected with a material trough. Material is added from the feeding material. Once the plastic component of the material is melted and attached to the barrel wall, it is scraped off with a scraper and dropped into the trough. This method can separate more than 90% of the plastic from the paper and has been separated. The content of plastic paper is very small and can be controlled below 1%.
(2) Hot air flow method: the separation of plastic film and paper is realized by shrinking plastic film in heat and reducing specific area. The mixture of film and paper is sent to the heating area. The heating box can be an agricultural grain dryer, which is granular, so that the surface area is reduced. Then the mixture of film and paper is fed into the air separator. The air flow takes the paper away from the mixture, while the thermoplastic particles are convenient. It falls at the bottom of the separator. This method can almost completely separate the plastic from the paper.
2. Wet separation: The light material obtained from the dry separation equipment is fed into the mixer, and the pulp is discharged from the holes in the separating board, while the plastic left is discharged from the separating outlet, and then it is fed into the dehydrator for dehydration and then into the air separator for separation.
3. Electric Separation: The mixture of paper and plastic is fed into the separator by a vibrating feeder, falls into the rotating crushing drum, and then sends to the corona area formed between the wire electrode and the crushing. The paper is sucked into the electrode, while the plastic is still attached to the drum, and falls to the bottom of the drum to collect with the rotational plasticity of the drum.
When the humidity of the mixture is 15%, the paper and plastic can be separated, but the plasticity will still be polluted by a lot of paper. When the humidity is over 50%, the plasticity and paper can be completely separated.
